It is highly recommended by Schrick to change the full set of these any time you install new camshafts in your S54 engine. These Schrick DLC (Diamond-like Carbon) coated drag levers are specially coated to deal with the increased frictional forces usually associated with higher lift performance cams. They allow your engine to rev quicker which in turn frees up additional power.

Since the high performance Schrick DLC coated drag levers are just a few dollars more a piece than the factory BMW replacement parts it's a great choice for street, high performance, and racing use.
