Achilles Motorsports Billet Oil Filter Block-Off Plate & Relocation Housing was designed as a direct replacement of the factory housing. It is perfect to use with our Achilles Motorsports Dry Sump Kit. Our trademark One-Piece design, the first of its kind, is designed and manufactured in the USA from a single solid block of billet 6061-T6 aluminum, it features unique structural reinforcing gussets that eliminate unwanted flex commonly associated with the typical two piece construction. As an added bonus we include all the necessary gaskets, hardware and fittings to take the guess work and headache out of trying to piece it all together yourself.

As most people know the factory Euro S52 or S54 oil filter housing assembly is a good upgrade for the M50, S50, S52, M54 engine allowing the installation of an aftermarket oil cooler. The drawback is that it incorporates an oil thermostat which closes the flow of the oil to the oil coolers until the engine and oil temperatures come up, then once opened it does not direct 100% of the oil flow through the cooler. While this is ok for most street driven or high performance engines, for race cars and hard driven track cars we recommend to install the Achilles Motorsports oil filter housing. This will allow the installation of a racing type oil cooler and filter which will lower the operating temperature by 20-30 degrees and direct 100% of the oil flow through the cooler.

  • Retains the factory location for the power steering pump, alternator, and Vanos oil line.
This part was designed to be used with the OEM E36, E46 style belt tensioner (hydraulic shock type) sold separately
