Throughout the years of racing BMW’s it quickly became apparent to us that the factory power steering cooling & hoses were a major weak point in the steering systems. BMW's trombone line was a feeble attempt at cooling the power steering fluid and may be sufficient for street driven vehicles, but the in world of racing the extreme temperatures and harsh environment quickly expose the flaws in the design which lead to blown power steering hoses or overheated steering pumps.

Our power steering cooling kit is designed for the real world of racing and replaces the weak factory crimp connections and trombone with a top quality oil cooler that unlike other kits on the market it will help protect your power steering pump from overheating. One of the key features of our kit is it allows you to use your existing ZF power steering reservoir which incorporates a quality built in filter.

Our kit gives you the freedom to locate the cooler in a more optimal location and includes all the necessary adapters and fittings to connect seamlessly with your power steering rack.

We also recommend installing a fresh reservoir/filter along with the kit.

From an easy to use website to straight up awesome customer support the whole experience was great as a buyer. Shipping overseas can be a pain in the butt and expensive, but the team at Achilles Motorsports even managed to find a cheaper shipping solution for me and refund the difference, honesty that is rare but shows how great the company is
